Ticks Away Natural Spray 8 fl oz. I am continuously asked if the Bugs Away will work on ticks. I have not tested it but decided to do some research. I found that the BEST natural tick repellent is rose geranium, lemon eucalyptus, peppermint, and neem essential oils. This is safe for children and pets and completly natural. Generously spray your arms, legs, and body, and re-apply after several hours to keep the scent strong. My friend did an experiment and sprayed a band of it on his knee and then walked into his tick infested field. Sure enough, a tick crawled up his calf, came to his knee, and turned around and ran back down! Obviously these herbs have scents that ticks REALLY don't like.
