Shea Butter Gentle Facial Bar 3.5 oz. I made this soap in response to the number of dermatologists that recommend DOVE soap for people who need a milder soap - but this is the natural alternative to that "chemically" based soap. I add shea butter, rosehip oil, avocado oil, extra vitamin E and calendula oils, with pure essential oils of lavender, palmarosa, and rosewood. Shea butter nourishes the skin with Vitamins A, E and F. Vitamins A and E help maintain the skin and keep it clear and healthy. It is particularly helpful for sun damaged skin to help prevent premature wrinkles and facial lines. Vitamin F acts as a skin protector and rejuvenator. Also, Shea Butter easily penetrates the skin allowing the skin to breathe and not clogging pores. Shea Butter has a high level of cinnamic acid, a natural sun screen providing some degree of protection from the sun. Shea Butter is also anti-inflammatory making it useful in treating rheumatism and has been used to treat minor skin conditions. Shea Butter is also helpful for eczema and/or psoriasis.
