Herbal Immunoseptic Soap 3.5oz. I wanted to create a natural soap with strong antiseptic properties, but mild enough to be able to wash your hands often and keep them soft. This is a nice herbal soap besides its "medicinal" use. Made with the pure essential oils of red thyme, lavender, lemon, & tea tree. This combination also stimulates the respiratory system when used in a steamy shower. My friend Ruth tested this essential oil blend in her microbiology class lab. The assignment was to bring in commercial products that claim to kill bacteria. In her lab, this essential oil blend tested second to only one - Lysol with bleach! It performed just as well as iodine in killing such bacteria as e-coli (escherichia) and staph (staphylococcus aureus). Just for your information, Purel, the commercial hand sanitizer, and Listerine, both flunked royally against these two dangerous bacteria. The longer you wash your hands and the lather remains on your skin, the more chance the oils have to kill bacteria. The act of washing with soap as well helps remove pathogens.
